MojoTrak® is a service that helps pet owners, vets, and carers manage chronic health conditions in pets, with an initial focus on canine glucose monitoring and insulin dosing. It is currently delivered as a Progressive Web App available at mojotrak.com and its subdomains (app.mojotrak.com, vet.mojotrak.com, carer.mojotrak.com, admin.mojotrak.com). We plan to make MojoTrak available via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in future; when we do, this policy will be updated to reflect any additional data processing involved.

MojoTrak suggests insulin doses based on the clinical settings you (or a connected vet) enter into the app. These suggestions are tools to assist you, not veterinary advice. You must always use your own judgement and consult a qualified vet about your pet's care. MojoTrak and its founder accept no liability for clinical outcomes. MojoTrak does not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Dose suggestions are presented for you to review and approve — nothing is administered automatically.
If you have opted in to research participation, we may share anonymised data (with all personally identifying information removed) with academic or veterinary research partners. We will never share your identifiable data for research without separate specific consent.
We may share data if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
If MojoTrak is sold or merged with another business in the future, your data may be transferred to the new owner, who will remain bound by the terms of this policy or an equivalent one. You will be notified in advance.
MojoTrak stores your data in the UK and EEA where possible:
Google (Firebase's parent company) and some of its sub-processors are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on:

If your pet passes away, their records remain in your account unless you choose to delete them. Many owners find it meaningful to keep their pet's health history as a record.
If you transfer ownership of a pet (a feature we are developing), your pet's health history will transfer with the pet to the new owner, and you will no longer have access to it. Both parties will be required to confirm the transfer.
You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@mojotrak.com. We will delete all your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.

If you've subscribed to our mailing list, we will send occasional updates about MojoTrak — new features, launch news, and relevant pet health content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing support@mojotrak.com.
We will never send you marketing emails without your consent, and we will never pass your email address to another company for their marketing.
MojoTrak offers you the option to help improve veterinary care by sharing your pet's anonymised health data with approved research partners. No personal information is ever shared — only anonymised clinical data such as glucose readings, insulin doses, weight, and symptoms.
You will be invited to opt in when you set up your MojoTrak account, via a banner on your dashboard, and from the Research Data Sharing section of Settings. Opting in is entirely optional and never required to use MojoTrak.

We only share data with research partners we have approved and who have agreed to use the data responsibly for the purpose of improving veterinary care.
MojoTrak uses only the cookies and local storage required for the service to work — for example, keeping you signed in across sessions (so you don't need to sign in every time) and remembering your preferences within the app. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers inside the app.
The MojoTrak website (mojotrak.com) uses a MailerLite signup form, which may set a cookie if you submit the form. See MailerLite's privacy policy at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy for details. As the main website grows, we will update this section to reflect any additional cookies or trackers used there.
We take security seriously:
No online service is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the ICO as required by UK GDPR (within 72 hours where feasible).
MojoTrak is not intended for use by children under 16. If you are under 16, please do not create an account.
If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 16 without parental consent, we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the service, the law, or our practices. The "Last updated" date at the top will show the date of the most recent change.
For material changes affecting how we use your data, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and (where required) ask for your consent.
